 Information on Individual Membership

Joining the Society of Chemical Engineers allows you to join various divisions of the society.
 ◆ How to apply for a membership
 
Basically, admission procedures are conducted via the Internet. If you don’t have Internet access, you can make an application using a specific form. Please contact the Society of Chemical Engineering’s membership personnel for more details.

1.Click here for ( Application for membership) and enter the necessary information.Please use either Internet Explorer 5.0 or later or Netscape Navigator 6.0 or later. The screen resolution should be set to “800 x 600” or more.

2.After receiving your membership application, we will send you a money transfer form (payment form for the post office).

 ◆ Membership Privileges

 
Official members and student members can enjoy the following services and opportunities offered by our society.
 
1. Receive the “Chemical Engineering” journal every month and access the latest information about academic, technological, and industrial fields. → (Journal “Chemical Engineering”)
 
2. Post a research paper to the journal “Theses on Chemical Engineering” (in Japanese) and “Journal of Chemical Engineering of Japan” (in English) and purchase them at special membership prices. → (List of subscription fees for journals) (Theses on Chemical Engineering)
 
3. Present research papers in annual meetings, autumn meetings, and branch meetings, and communicate with people in academic and industrial fields. → (Event calendar)

7. Participate in INCHEM TOKYO show (held every two years) for free and chemical technology symposiums held simultaneously at discounted prices.
 
8. Register and use the registered qualification if the qualification examination has been passed through the Society of Chemical Engineering. → (Engineer qualification system)

10. Participate in various workshops and seminars at a special membership price. → (Seminars hosted by the human resources development center)

12. Registration fees for events hosted by other societies and associations which are co-hosted, supported, or sponsored by the Society of Chemical Engineering may be the same as or similar to those of the hosting society or association members. → (Events co-hosted/supported)
 
13. Access and copy materials.
 
14. In addition to the above privileges, a complimentary discount system for hotels, Nippon Rent A Car Service, and etc. is available. → (Special page for members)
